How we work
At Daisy Chains, we believe that close relationships with parents, allows and ensures nursery staff to have a better understanding of individual children which in turn enhances the quality of care and education provided.
An initial optional home visit prior to new children commencing the nursery, allows nursery staff to get to know parents and children before they join the nursery and we have found these to be invaluable in children’s settling in process.
We encourage parents to become involve in all aspects of their child’s care at nursery and parents are welcome to stay and play whenever they wish.
We continuously share information with parents via our daily record of information sheet for our younger children and our verbal communications.
Parents newsletters and notices give the opportunity for regaulr updates where parents can see what is happening in around nursery.
Room to room transitions for children involve parents too and and when the time comes.
Policies and Procedures
We have a file situated in the hall with all the nursery's policies and procedures in. The file is easily assessable for all parent/carers or visitors to read through.
We have put some of our main policies on the website:
