About Us

About Our Setting

Daisy Chains opened in 1990 in a beautiful detached building with original features. It is managed and owned by Joanne Smith who works with her excellent, hand-picked carefully chosen nursery practitioners to care for and educate children in the most precious years of their lives.
Home from home is what best describes Daisy Chains as a place for children and their families to feel loved, safe and valued. It is furnished and decorated to the highest standards providing homely yet very spacious rooms.

Daisy Chains is registered and approved by Ofsted and Bolton Council Early Start under the 1989 children Act. The nursery is also a member of the National day Nursery Association (NDNA).
We have recently renamed our nursery from Daisy Chains Nursery to Daisy Chains Bolton Ltd. as we have become a limited company. Joanne remains the owner with the new title of director. The nursery remains under the same management and within the same building.

Our Values, Beliefs and Passion

Within our nursery our biggest belief is that we are a family. We work together and look out for one another, putting our relationships at the front and centre of everything we do. We aim to provide the best care we can possibly give by taking on the needs of all our individual children, our families and our staff.
We throughly believe that if all children who attend our setting are welcomed, valued and settled that they will thrive.
We aim to ensure that everyone in our nursery community is respected and is able to access our rich curriculum. We ensure that children are loved and cared for whilst still providing them with opportunities to learnt to care for themselves. Each and every one of our children are their own special person and we like to celebrate that with them by helping them to thrive in all areas of development by showing that we believe in them and their abilities.

Our Aims

Our nursery offers large play rooms, fully equipped with beautiful resources and highly trained staff. Our play rooms are designed to be tranquil, calming, curious spaces, focusing on what is in the child’s view. Our open play spaces are set up for continuous provision, where children are able to freely choose their activities.
Our focused sessions are planned around children’s individual and group interests as we observe, assess and plan in accordance with the EYFS and The Development Matters.
It is of upmost importance that our children and their families feel valued whilst at nursery until they are ready to leave us for school. We continuously update our skill set within nursery to help every single child achieve to their very best potential whilst they are with us.

Our Commitments

We are committed to help our little ones flourish and develop from the moment they start their journey with us, until they are ready to leave us for school in our loving, richly challenging, stimulating and supportive environment. As working parents we understand the difficulty of leaving your children in childcare and want you to know that we think of them as our own, while they attend our setting.
Our staff often attend training for their continuous professional development, ensuring that their knowledge of how children learn and develop is up to date as well as regular safeguarding training. They are also all paediatric first aid trained.
We value our families and strive to continually improve our services, seeking feedback at regular intervals. Our families are really important to us and we endeavour to celebrate all of our children’s achievements and their family celebrations throughout the year.
